The Brass Tacks Ensemble announces auditions for its Fall Festival of Staged Readings.  The Festival will be presented on November 1, 2, and 8, plus a celebration on the 9th, at the Children’s Creative Center in Ann Arbor.  We will present a staged reading of Doctor Faustus, by Christopher Marlowe, as well as a series of short original plays and radio plays written over the past year in the Brass Tacks Ensemble’s playwriting group.  Each night of the festival will be unique.

We plan to cast an ensemble of 8-12 actors to appear in multiple roles.  Rehearsals will be held between October 6 and November 9 in Ann Arbor; the plays will be rehearsed and presented as a small-scale production in which actors carry scripts.  Participants will receive a stipend of $25, plus an evenly-split portion of the net proceeds.

Auditions, which will consist of cold readings, will be held on Saturday, September 21 from 1-3 p.m. and Monday, September 23 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Children’s Creative Center, 1600 Pauline Blvd., Ann Arbor.  If you are interested in auditioning, please email us at to let us know which date you will attend. Plan to be present for the entire session; if you are not available for the entire session, please let us know what time you will arrive and how long you can stay.  If you are unavailable on either of these dates, contact us and we can discuss an alternate audition time. Drop-in auditions will be accepted on a first-come-first served basis. Please also bring a list of conflicts for the rehearsal and performance periods.
